Spay and Neuter
Should I Spay or Neuter My Pet?
Absolutely! Besides the obvious benefit of preventing potentially unwanted pregnancy, nutering your pet generally decreases aggressive behaviours in your pets! This means they’ll be less likely to bite, attack or get into fights with other animals! In addition, your pet will no longer have the drive to mark and protect their territory and are less likely to spray.
Is spaying or neutering safe?
While every surgical procedure carries some risk, including some aesthetic and surgical risk; however spaying and neutering are the most common surgeries we perform and the incidence of complications is very low.
Before the procedure, your pet is given a thorough physical examination to ensure that he/she is in good health. General anaesthesia is administered to perform the surgery and medications are given to minimize pain. You will be asked to keep your pet calm and quiet for a few days after surgery as the incision begins to heal.
